I get mine cut twice a year - always by the same person (for about the last 10 years, anyway). So twice a year, my hair is brutally short but then grows to about collar length, twice.

Your hair?
I like to grow mine long, right down my back, tie it into a Rapunzel style pony-tail and then spiral it on top of my head like a giant walnut-whip.

I like to keep it short so I don't need to comb it. That way I can avoid looking at my mug in the mirror until it's time to take a weed whacker to the eyebrow, ear and nose hairs.

It has been foretold that one day bald men will rule the world.

Mine is wavy too; infuriatingly so. It tormented me when I was young and I tried to tame it with sellotape, clips and scarves which is pointless in a damp rainy climate which makes it curly. It often looks scruffy and gets caught up in branches and twigs when I am gardening and it's the kind of hair that blows all over the place when I'm out walking and it's windy.
Now I let it do it's thing though treat it with a rediculously expensive leave on conditioner called Trauma Treatment and get my roots coloured and a cut every 2 months which costs around £65.
Mine has to take its chances. It gets washed with plain water and occasionally, when it's really been naughty, punished with shampoo. Not a lot of it left, but since my gran was bald at 60 I'm grateful for small mercies. 🙂
