What's your favourite poison and why?

Mine would have to be a cold Labatt 50. If you're Canadian then you know what I mean when I say I enjoy 50 so that I can feel like an old Frenchman. But seriously, it's an ale that is flavourful, bold, and always gets you the eye from at least one person a night.

*Darv takes a swig from his 50*
*Gorgeous girl approaches*
"Labatt 50, eh? My Grandfather drinks that."
"Your Grandfather has great taste."
"Oh, you! That's so nice, you've never even met him. Let's go back to my place."
"Jesus girl, let me finish my beer first."

You get the point.

Sam Adams, as it is always a 'good decision'. Sad thing is, nothing as exciting as the commercials has ever happened drinking one... well, that I remember anyway.

I like Jack Daniels. It has not-so-subtle undertones of wood and banana, just like me on RHP. It's small, safe, portable, corpulent, erudite, plebejan, Dickensian, aristocratic, automatic, linguistic, parasitic, and just plain fun.

Plus, see what kind of looks you get drinking straight from a half-empty bottle. It's almost as good as a tattoo of a knife wearing a leather jacket.

Hey PBE6,

Every try JD Single Barrel? Quite a bit more expensive but well worth it. Like you, I'm a Jack Daniels bourbon guy although I do like scotch as well.
They both go great with a nice amber ale.

i tried it once and it was far too milky...i dont like milk so i havent tried it again. if you had any taste at all then you would know that cointreau tasted very nice to the subtle palate. but i have been asked not to start " the little one" off again by the higher ranking members of the ISBHOD and other people on this site.

Youngs Double Chocolate Stout is nice.

When out and about I tend to drink Guiness Draft in chain pubs. In real ale pubs I like to experiment, the usual drunken shenanigans that follow experiments usually then take place. I posted two such beers in a thread late last year, Skullsplitter and Mamood.

Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout.

Good stuff.

I've also been drinking a lot of India Pale Ales recently. Also very good.
