Every try JD Single Barrel? Quite a bit more expensive but well worth it. Like you, I'm a Jack Daniels bourbon guy although I do like scotch as well.
They both go great with a nice amber ale.
No, I haven't tried it Frank. But double-fisting a Single Barrel sounds like a buckshot of a good time. I'll have to try scotch and ale sometime, too.

As far as beer goes, I'm partial to white beers (sorry Dodger, not that kind you smarmy bigot) like Hoegaarden (sp?) and Blanche de Chambly, a beer from the Unibroue brewery in Quebec. I also like their Maudite and La Fin du Monde (ales with a little higher alcohol content). Although when I'm in the bar, I usually drink Alexander Keith's because it gives me warm memories of the last pint of Keith's I had.

ahhhh how can you not like bailey's??? that's my absolutely favorite drink... plus, I don't get as drunk as quickly as say from vodka... I dunno why, but vodka always knocks me out straight... plus, I don't like the taste much. But I also like Sangria a lot... so in winter it's bailey's (waaait... I still have a half-full bottle in the fridge... but ah well, I'd better leave my hands off that, have to go to school tomorrow 🙁) and in summer it's sangria... or caipirinha (spelled it right?) 😀

over here Baileys is seen as a Ladies drink, hence blokes in general go yuurgh at the thought of drinking it.

As it is half the strengfth of Vodka and a thicker consistency it takes longer to get drunk from it.

Both Caprihana (spelling) and Mohito's (spelling) are very nice long drinks in Summer.

Jack Daniels isn't bourbon, it is sour mash. Bourbon comes from Kentucky, Jack is from Tennessee. If you like bourbon try Basil Hayden's or some other fine Kentucky bourbon whiskey. For more info go to http://www.straightbourbon.com

Most any bourbon is better than (*tastes bile*) Crap Daniels even Old Grand-dad.

As for a nice amber ale, try Fat Tire from New Belgium Brewery in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Jim Beam , the 12 year old stuff . Seconds on the Fat Tire , Cliff . Also like a good crisp wheat beer , like Sunshine or Blue Moon . Sprecher , out of Milwaukee , does a hell of a Mai Bock too .

Depends what mood I'm in:

In need of refreshment - Staropramen
In need of taste - Hoegarden
In need of drunkenness - tequila depth-charged in a pint of fosters
In need of relaxing - Glass of Cabernet Sauvignon, preferably a 1985 Chateau Margilles medoc if I can find one
In need of fun - White Russian (Caucasian if I'm feeling extra cool)
In need of something different - absynthe usually does the trick, but no more than two shots
In need of melancholy - London Pride
In need of sex - Vodka and tonic (doesn't make your breath smell and goes through your system quickly

The Chinese restaurant round the corner does a brilliant Chinese beer with ginseng.
It's good for the Yin AND the Yang (if you take my meaning).
I've no idea what it's called but it's great.
Means I eat chinese food a little too often though 😉

I like brandy. Since I'm not rich I don't drink exspensive stuff.

I found a nice drink called cream and cask, which is similiar to baileys I happen to like.

Once upon a time I worked in a cocktail bar. I wasn't quite Tom Cruise, but I had an act. I'd down every little bit of left-over drink and joke a lot whilst shaking the shaker thingy's.
They only ever put me on for 2 hours at a time, after that I was usually so pissed that I didn't know what I was doing anymore.

I guess the worst blooper was when I was making a banana dequiri and once it was finished I threw in the strawberries, mumbling that it didn't look red enough. Then I realised that it wasn't supposed to be red and I picked them out with my fingers again and handed the guy his drink...

anyways, during this time, we were encouraged to make our own cocktails. So I did. And after months of experimenting I finally created the Bornberry. It was a succes and got on the 'menu'.

What you need is:
1 long drink glass.
Pour in:
3 shots of white rum (Club havana is the best...don't believe that Bacardi crap)
2 shots of melon liquer
1 shot of strawberry liquer

Throw this into a mixer with 5 strawberries and 5 ice cubes. MIX

Then re-pour it into the glass and top up with Cointreux or Safari.
