If a person you are playing a game against is put on your ignore list in the middle of the game will that affect the game, the moves, or email notifications at all?
Thanks guys.

Ignore list only affects Private Messages I think (when a game is already in progress).

Only affects messages and game offers.

There wouldn't be much point in playing if all one had to do to avoid defeat was add their opponent to ignore list.

Two bishops CAN force mate. As can a bishop and a knight.

Note also that although in the endgame K+2N v K mate cannot be forced, by one of the quirks of the game, in a lot of K+2N v K+P endings it can. The stronger side has to set up what would be a stale-mate position if the Pawn was not present, then complete the mate after the weaker side has moved his Pawn. It is usually a long and intricate process, and at one time, (I think up to some time in the 1990's) the 'Fifty Move Law' was extended to 75 moves because in many of the posi-tions it could not be completed in 50, but could in 75. I don't know if this easing of the law is still permitted.

Yes. Use of the Vacation facility here is only available to subscribers.

p.s. You might want to start a new thread for any other questions you have - no one will think to look under "ignore list" for answers about vacations.
A lot of people don't post a question, but find the answer they are looking for by browsing the thread titles for threads that look promising.
