I just had a provisionally rated player accept my rating limited open invite. I thought that was not allowed? What can I do to correct this?
I was also assigned a game in a tournament by a provisionally rated player. I thought they could not enter tournaments. Can that be fixed?

According to the FAQ:

"What is a provisionally rated player?
Until a player has completed 20 games, they will have a provisional rating.
Provisionally rated players will have their rating locked at 1200 until 5 rated games are completed. After 5 games, a rating is displayed, but this rating is still considered provisional until 20 games are complete.
A provisional rated player is indicated by a lower-case 'p' next to their rating.
Some limitations apply to provisionally rated players."

The last sentence in the FAQ description is vague.
Can we find out specifically what those limitations are?
It would be helpful and informative for this type of situation, I think. 🙂

A subscribing provisional player can join an open tournament, but they can't join banded tournaments. So no issue there.

For #Game 16482966 though, your challenge preferences should have fully blocked provisional player challenges, so that is a long outstanding issue, and a fix will arrive right away to prevent recurrences.

Thank you Russ. Since the regular game had less than 2 moves, I deleted it, and I will continue with the tournament games.
