How uneven!

Does anyone have the same pattern as me, or am i just wierd. Ive lost about 20 games to timeouts since joining here. No biggie, but my win loss record as white and black is dramatically different!!!!

36 Losses
12 Draws

As Black
51 Wins
40 Losses
6 Draws

I do believe thats a just a lil crazy!!!!

do you use an opening book more as white?

160 Losses 27%
76 Draws 13%

As Black
387 Wins 58%
186 Losses 28%
92 Draws 14%

pretty even for me, I play a bit better as black.
as white: won:43drawn:4 lost: 83

as black: won: 50drawn: 2lost: 81

No, but im more confident with my white play, but still i never ever thought that the numbers would be so different. Ive played alot of higher rated players, and that could also be another reason too...just because i figure that as black, i will lose more to players at a stronger level?? I dont know. Im thinking of going through my games to see if there is a pattern.

73-54-4 = 57.25%

Not a whole lot goin' on thar.

White W 36 D 3 L 45 White win% = 42.8%
Black W 54 D 4 L 42 Black win% = 54%

Which is weird, because until I joined this site (a few months ago), I only ever played against the computer - and I always played as white...

The figures are even MORE skewed in favour as black when I only look at Clan games...

White win % = 51.7%
Black win % = 71.4%

Just can't explain it!!!

As white: won 128 [39%] lost 189 [58%] drawn 9 [3%]
As black: won 150 [39%] lost 216 [57%] drawn 15 [4%]

Very consistent for black/white comparison.

But I take three things from the stats:
1. I play 54% of my games as black, which seems high.
2. I hardly ever draw.
3. I'm not very good at chess.

My (wonderfull) record is:as white-wins 27%,draws 4% and losses 69%.as black-wins 30%,draws 3% and losses 67%. Good gracious I'm an awfull player. 😲)
