We didn't make it that far 😛. It was a tight game out of the Symetrical English. He offered me a draw once, and I declined, thinking that I had a superior position after I won the pawn back. But, sometimes7 forced the Queen trade, and the draw. I enjoyed the game, and he is a solid player. 🙂
Thanks.. not the most thrilling game, but it's nice to be on the score sheet (even if it's only 0.5 pts).

There is an odd number of players in this tourney so someone has to sit out each round, he has a "bye" round, where he doesn't play anyone but still gets 1/2

look at the post above, theres only 9. There might be 20 in another tourney but this one has 9. It's on the first page of this thread also, there has been a bye in every round.

1. Nf3 is what I play, probably 90% of the time as White. It allows me to avoid the over-analyzed lines of the Sicilian and French, if I were to play 1. e4. Also, White can (more or less) dictate the early stages of the game. It often leads to English, Reti, or KIA lines which I enjoy immensely.
