Very early days yet, but did wonder what aesthetically was wrong with the previous format to warrant these changes. Can't honestly say whether it's faster or not at the mo.
Just a minor point - I mostly play on iPad, and the 'last moves' both on open boards and in Game Log are quite difficult to distinguish in my board settings - 'Book' piece style and 'Wheatfield' board style.
Rendering is much faster - important when you're running a creaky 3 yo laptop.
Once you're used to the initial distraction of the change of appearance of the pieces, yep, I call this an update. 😉
I like the 'display' buttons at the top on the 'My Games' page. You can display your games, listed with the current position in view. All it needs now, especially to save time for the guys on the 'Top 30' page, is to have Houdini running underneath each position. 😉

Conditional moves worked ok for me a few days back on the beta of the site,
apart from promotion. I entered a few sequential moves with no other issues.
I will try again when I have a chance.
I got as far as position 7 of 7 in conditional move. It would seem you can drag/drop the pieces underneath onto the board... I have no idea why. In deep mode you can move a piece of the wrong colour first which seems pointless. In fact you can keep on moving the same colour piece time after time. I'm not sure if you could do that before the update.
