I think the end has not been said about concealment communications. I can think of some sneaky ways that would be all but undetectable unless you disrobed. I can see hand signals worked out beforehand for instance, Twitch your left pinky for A then right index finger for the number, so it would translate as A5 or some such. And that doesn't even get into the various elecronica ideas. Some not even involving radio waves. A transmitter can be sniffed out by an RF forensic expert. They can get interferance with cell phones, laptops and handhelds though. There are ultra wide band methods that sound only like noise to a regular radio if it can be detected at all. Some of them use energy levels in the microwatt level but on an extremely wide bandwidth, say over a Ghz which allows communications almost undetectable and thats just RF.
