Here's a link to my weblog. I outline what I think are the top chess web sites -- giving a detailed description of each.

    Hope this helps!

Based on Game 1611846 I think you would be best served studying basic tactics. You won the game but gave up large amounts of material by missing simple moves. You're a beginner and with unless you are willing to accept any advice people give you you will always be a beginner.

Ravello gave you good and constructive advice as shown below. You then called him an idiot!

I see that in another thread you ask which is the shortest check mate.......

The best advice that I can give to you is that you need to learn some basics and some basics patterns too.
A great site that can help you is chesscafe.com and more specifically the "Novice nook" columns, they are very useful and enjoyable to read and are righ for beginners.
There you will surely find a lot of stuff that can help you.

There was a young lady of Ealing,
    Who thought her friends very unfeeling;
    When she had scarlet fever
    They wouldn't receive her,
So she called on them when she was peeling.

Nice little link page. Of course, you've missed out RHP and chesstactics.
    Go well.

Good to see the effort you made in helping people find better sites.
Just curious why you left out internet chess club? I know its a pay site, but for the money it is the best in usability, and admin help.
There are free games (as guest) and lot's of games (blitz) to watch at any given moment.
I was on yahoo the other day, and waited about 1 hour or so to get a few games in. I won all the games, except for one i started, then noticed there was no timer.😕 so , i bailed after the first move.
For ease of use, and availability of games, icc is the best. Their C.C. games left much to be disired, i guess thats why this site is so popular😀

See this is why I like this thread! I obviously know what RHP is, but what is chesstactics? Chess Tactics Server?

    Thanks!

(As for leaving RHP off the list, I just discovered it fairly recently! Got my avatar just today! I'll need to update my list 🙂
