Yep the 3. ... Kf7 was the line I was looking at that had no forced mate. But why doesn't she consider that on her book? Yes black is lost anyway but at least doesn't get mated right away.

By taking the pawn with the bishop, you are "victim" to the pinning tactic Bc6. You can't immediately interpose the white bishop with Bd5 as that square is protected by the black rook, but with the intermediate check of Bf5+, you can then block the pin with Be4.
