Do anyone has open account at emrald chess tactics server? How is your rating there compared to your RHP rating?

well, it's the only tactical training I've done since I learned how the horsey hops, and I'm in the 1700's here.

Not much I assume, but there must be some correlation between them. Not important question though.

That server is awesome, but it is so time dependent. Obviously when you have a day or two to move you won't be able to compare it to when you have 3 seconds.

I like doing those puzzles because they make you think of the chess board as having a solution. There is always a best move and when you start thinking about it like that it really changes your perspective on the game.

I am actually asking this because I wonder what rating would be closest to my imaginary OTB rating. I don't have one. When me and a couple of friends decided to subscribe to local and the only one chess clubs, the leader of club seemed pretty uninterested and was a litle bit rude, so we were there only once, and decided not to go anymore...

there really isn't any other way of knowing besides playing OTB. standard games online are the closest to it, but OTB just still is different, as people handle pressure differently face to face.

oh, and 1560 CTS, 1755 RHP.

2-3h sleep a night and a little fever. I was at 1530 and going down a couple of days ago... I'm better now, but far from being alert. I'm also concentrating my efforts on endgame instead of daily CTS, so that might affect it too. but mostly bad shape, I'm sure I'll be back at 1600 soon...

I haven't played much here, but my CTS rating is about 1470 (highest 1550 or so.) My blitz rating is 1840 and my bullet rating is 2010 so there really isn't any correlation between the CTS and anything else.

yeah. military service is over. about chess, I dont know. probably I keep playing it as I used to; couple "big" tournaments in a year and dozens of small

Imagining an OTB rating based on RHP or CTS is like imagining eating an orange, while you're actually eating a turd. It just doesn't happen.
