Maybe I should have posted this question in the Science forums, or god forbid the Spirituality section, but asking the question "What is Chess" in the "Only Chess" forum section of a chess site should not be too much of a strange thing. 😉

Yes, Go is terrible, uninspiring and ultimately boring. Same applies to draughts, and you might add "nerdy" for it. Chess is a completely different story.....
