CT-ART 6.0 - Is the new version worth it?

Only Chess

Hello everyone!

I'm new here, but I could use some advice:

I am an intermediate player who is hungry to improve quickly.

A friend of mine -who also acts as my chess coach- advised me to focus on tactics for now and he suggested that I should buy the CT-ART 6.0 (he promised I will never need to buy another tactics software/book/DVD ever again!).

He said that this is the newest version of what he considers the best tactics software out there. He also showed me a link with the lowest price on the internet:
http://shop.chessdom.com/products/ct-art-6-dot-0-for-download-discount-pack

Do you guys think this is an investment worth making?

He also told me there are more than 10,000 puzzles of increasing difficulty in CT-ART 6.0.

Is this true?!? (sounds too good to be true!)

Thanks in advance!

Z

Clearly you are on commission because you have no games on the go. If you want to improve your chess...

1. Play some games
2. Join Gambit fantasy club an absolute must for OTB players in my opinion
3. Read greenpawn34's superb blogs
4. Play some games

I haven't used that, but i have been using the android apps. There are a few different types, Strategy, tactics, end game. I have found them all to be really good (and inexpensive). I can't comment on CTArt 6.0 though, i haven't used that one..

Save yourself some money and use these free instructional video's from you tube.
I can't be bothered with books and setting up boards to play out the suggested moves but there's stuff on here that's really useful.
The first link has 70 free video's and the 2nd is updated with new stuff regularly

Probably - the same question has appeared (and been removed from) a number of other sites.
