You're right hypermo2001.
I am a beginner; but guess what? I got a better way of blocking the Fool's Mate:
1.e3 nc6 2.qf3 nf6 3.bc4 d5 4.bxd5 nxd5 5.qxd5 qxd5

What do you think of that?
Black has 12pts, and white has 4pts.
Black would be me, and white would be the opponent.
That move might not happen, but if it does... I win by 8pts.
PS: If you think that's bad, show me a better way of blocking the "Fool's Mate".

I guess that after 2.....Nc6 it's useless to speak about defense from fool's mate because is no more possible,or at least is not called fool's mate.
I challenge you to find a middle experienced player who does 5.Qxd5.............
Sure, black wins by 8pts because white threw down the toilet his queen..........

Black sure did messed that one up, but you know what?
I'm just a beginner, and I've never seen a beginner that blocks a fool's mate that well.
:o)

I repeat:after 2 moves it's no more fool's mate and Nf6 it's a standard move in openings,you discovered nothing fresh,even for a beginnerπŸ˜‰

Well at least I'm good enough for a begginer right?
I just learned chess 2 weeks ago, and now I'm taking chess lessons at a Young People's Summer Collage. I have to pay $76 for all classes; and at least I think that's a fair price. Don't you think? πŸ™‚

Anyway, 1...e6 isn't bad. ...[text shortened]... eresting, and, with proper study on your part, a tough defense to crack.

Welcome to the site.
I am thinking you mean to say 1...e5.....

I'll give you some advice, Magicman. If you write collage with an e in the middle instead of that a your English will look much better.

As for avoiding fool's mate just read and understand the concepts laid out in the first chapter of any basic chess book. That'll save you doing all the hard work of figuring it out for yourself.
