Anyone any comments on this...

Opened with the Ruy Lopez, but was torn apart...
what did I do wrong, any better moves I could have made?

On c3 it blocks the advance c3 and then d4 keeping up White's big centre and allowing the bishop to drop into c2. Instead of d4, 0-0 was a safer bet.
