Was hoping you would ask 🙂

What you want me to do? Post some of my games? Challenge you?

Well here goes...

Game 2815134 I'm White side in a KGA 1-0
Game 2737423 Here I am black in a French Defence 0-1

Game 2803313 Here I was probably too greedy and my opponent was able to give perpetual check 1/2-1/2

Game 2731573 Here I played for a Queens Gambit and my opponent did something resembling the Grunfeld I believe... I went wrong somewhere, don't think it was the opening.

Game 2651504 Here is something that happens me often... I go for mate and get mated before I finish the attack 🙁

No, I want you to play and analyze me instead.... er...

Yeah, I'm curious if a 1900 can efectivly teach me, or if I need someone with 400+ points on me?

Considering your rating has peaked at only 100 points below where mine has peaked (on RHP) I doubt I will be able to teach you a great deal. There may well be some openings where I am better than you and the same will apply for some types of middle and end games but it is likely you will be stronger than me in some types of games.

I think to be effective a teaching someone you probably do need to be stronger all round and hell I've lost to plenty of 1600-1700 players in my time, so 400+ points is probably the cut of point to be effective.

This is very true. I never play 1.d4 games so the positions that often arise from them take me a little longer to get to grips with than say a 1600-1700 who plays 1.d4 every game and has a natural feel for the positions/plans. I keep meaning to take up 1.d4/c4 semi regularly to solve this but still havent got around to it (lazy me 🙂 ) I tend to practice a lot against a good friend on playchess his style is totally the oppsite of mine, a lot of his candidate moves are things I wouldnt even consider but after a while Iv started to get to grips with how he sees positions and what he might play/plan in them. I think if people want to progess that they probably have to become a jack of all trades, although not really straying them their natural style too much they do have to understand others.

Congrats on getting married. Have I told you about the three rings of marriage yet? They are:
1. The engagement ring
2. The wedding ring
3. The suffer-ring
