Bunch of patzers looking at one of my games - bwah!
Not one of them noticed the Latvian idea.
And the bozo who said 2...d5 is a clown.
3.e5 and the Alekhine Knght does not have d5.
The Fools.
Did you see my no KB1 blunder - I am a dipstick.
Hi, E3xod and others. this is my favourite opening for black, even though there are several good choices for white. In England the 4 pawns attack, exchange line (5. exd6) and 2.e5 Nd5 3. Nc3 are most common in my experience, but IMHO the "main line" 2. e5 Nd5 3. d4 d6 and 4. Nf3 is at least as good and gives white a healthy position that's fairly easy to play.
If you want something less well-trodden you might look at 4. Be2 or 4. Bc4 (instead of 4. Nf3). I think the best argument against 2.Nc3 is that black can play 2..e5, getting a Vienna or 4 Knights.
Still one reason I love the opening is the wonderful variety of different sidelines, and the radically different types of position you can easily get into.

Round our way 1.e4 Nf6 2.e5 Ng8
is known as the Boomerang.
The Atticus line 3.d4 Nc6 4.d5 Nb8
is the Double Boomerang.
Of course you can venture into the murky waters of the Triple and Quadruple Boomerang.
But this line has not been seen in World Championship Match,
so to date it remains untested.
