If a black pawn is on (say) e3 and I move my white pawn from f2 to f4, can he take me en-passant?
If there is a black pawn on e4 and white moves f2-f4, then it can be followed with e4xf3 e.p.
If white moves another piece, then he cannot do an e.p. in the next move, it must be captures with an e.p. immediately.
Originally posted by heinzkatyou could tell someone it's the first page that appears on a google search and they would still ask you the exact link. give them the exact link and they would still ask you to verify the content (probably without having read it). they wouldn't copy and paste 3 words to google but open up a thread about it. Thanks to god there's the internet or I suspect they would track people down to ask these type of questions. it's all about the "human touch."
This is the fourhundred-fiftieth thread on e.p. in the history of the internet. What is it that makes this part of the rules of chess so intriguingly hard to understand? 😕
