The universe has returned to the oversight of the Sith, there are few Jedi remaining!
Fat Lady picked up a month ban for breaking TOS in the Forum.
Usually a mere flesh wound but was told today she had quit the site. :'(
No sign yet of the ex RHP blog.
Korch, HeinzKat, Fat Lady....all gone. Glum days indeed.
I squished a skull today that cheered me up.

Originally posted by ayceebeeAnd why so? He did break the TOS. Or do you recommend double criteria based on an user's contribution to the forums or whatever? I do admit though, Fat Lady is a big loss, but I still think it is childish to abandon the site due to a ban. The same goes for heinzkat.

I think they had had enough of their forum bans and their posts getting pulled.
Some were totally harmless. Robo-modding was term one of them used.
Some were out of sheer frustration.
Some were when they were drunk.
I think they felt as if they were marked men (lady).
Both are good OTB players but both rarely played because of....
I'll invite them both to Bates Motel and they can post to each other
for ever and a day.
Sent off a forced mate in a conditional move today. That cheered me up as well.
Originally posted by greenpawn34Fat Lady had a complete thread deleted... I assume that the banning was related to that thread, although as far as I am aware, he was merely bringing to our attention something that was suspect to say the least.

Originally posted by greenpawn34yeah I saw it too.
I saw that thread.
A player may have two accounts and then Fat Lady defended him saying it
ridiculous getting a ban for that. Just shut one down.
great job boneheads. ban the guy who pointed out a TOS abuser, DON'T ban the real offender, and everything will be juuuust fine. the engine users on the 1st page are greatful for your help.
Originally posted by greenpawn34I don't know if we are referring to the same thread. I was thinking of his " Strange Ending " thread, where one player resigned when he had the game won. I still can't figure out why anyone would do that, or why it isn't against the TOS.

Originally posted by wormwoodAs you can see from my rating, I have no use for engines...don't know what satisfaction anyone can get from using them....but if anyone has devised a chess training regime that transforms them from a 1000 rating to near 2000 rating in eighteen months, they should publish it. They'd make a fortune !!!!!
I've had enough. just cancelled my sub. don't know yet if I'm going stay as nonsub or not, but with all this engine user rubbish and banning people opposing them, it's just not worth it anymore.

was not posted in great detail on the forum.
Resigning in a won position cannot be against TOS as it does happen
on here by players who fail to see they are winning.
White resigned after 11...Nxc3+ he is infact winning. Game 5163912
