what are your fav openings?

When playing as white I´m always pleased to see my opponent play Damiano´s defence.

1.e4 e5
2.Nf3 f6?
3.Nxe5

Not so good for black.

As white I play the Reti-Fischer opening, Tal variation - Petrosian gambit with f4.

As black I play the Reti-Fischer opening, Tal variation - Petrosian gambit declined Nimzowitsch poached fish counter gambit, with an early Ng4.

Truth and logic saw what you said in those other threads you started and ran away screaming.

As White, Reti, Nizmo-Larsen, or the English.

Black depends on what is played, Usually against King Pawn Openings, I play the Nimzovich Defense or the Pirc, or very rarely since I just started studying it, the Sicilian. Against Queen Pawn openings one of the Indian Defenses.

Or for a change of pace I might just play the Modern Defence against everything.

I like to open with a gripping anecdote.

Alekhine has black....and I like playing against the sicilian and french as white
