This is about fourth-hand information, so take it with a grain of salt. Susan Polgar's blog is reporting (via Chess Today via an article in Spanish on Lanacion.com) that Bobby's been hospitalized for several weeks in serious condition.
However, nobody in Iceland is talking - There are no details about his condition. Below is the link to the entry in Susan's blog. I just thought that you might want to know about this, even though there are no details available.

Fischer's attitudes are literally sick, the result of mental illness. I can't hate him for that, I'd rather pity him.

If you hate people who are anti-semitic, aren't you just as much of a bigot? Not defending anti-semites but let's separate Fischer the player and Fischer the man. Otherwise we would have to conclude that you are a dunce for expounding hateful views against individuals with no real basis other than going along with the popular view that ALL Fischer achieved in life was spouting his prejudiced views that a very small minority believe or espouse.

While Fischer being a Jew himself, I may not agree with his rants against Judism or the Jewish peoples; I do not also wish him ill will. Similar to Garry Weinstein changing his name to Kasparov, one letter short of his mothers name Kasparova. Should I wish him to die also because he is Jewish? I think not, though Putin may think otherwise? Let's try to concentrate on the positive contributions a man may make in his life span. While Fischer is a minor actor on the world's stage in regards to events, he has played some decent chess games along with Kasparov. Does this mean anything, probably not. Let us think about we may contribute in our small way !!
