I do not consider a player strong until they are rated at least 2650 in over the board play vs 2600 and higher rated players. Tebb is not that strong a player. Perhaps his correnspondence play is another matter. Tebb may be a very strong correnspondence player. There are no GMs in here to really test the top players.
If you want to knock (probably) the most respected player at RHP then go ahead, but at least make it a convincing and coherent statement. ðŸ˜

According to the Independent, two young Brits achieved their first GM Norms in this event. Apparently this is the first time this has happened in living memory (Jon Speelmans memory that is...)
Congrats to Gawain Jones and Luis Galego, finishing 5th and 6th respectively. I personally find it extremely demoralising to see teenagers achieve such heights, i'm sure i'm not alone. Anyways, looks like they should be a couple of names to look out for in the future, good luck to them... 🙂

And you will someday be able to match up well against Tebb??? Strength is realtive, and you are in no position to call anyone over 1800 weak, nevermind those 2200+.
