Are you saying that Josh User 96179 is not normal?

Glad I reduced my gameload as I must now be classed as normal lol

😉
Forget that I used the word 'normal', no one is normal. Most people, cannot handle that many games at once. Clearly Josh can, however he plays much slower in them than DIet Coke does (based on my games against them).

You don't give enough information. Remember that the amount of rating points acquired is dependant upon whom you play.
I'm currently playing with three 1900+ players, two 1400ish.

Play all 1800 players and you'll be there quickly after hand full of games. Just believe in yourself. Remember, Bobby Fischer was more of a hard worker than a prodigy. Granted he was a genius, but a dummy could be World Chess Champion. Look at the likes of Rubenstein - one of the greatest endgame players of all time.

So you want to reach 1800, that is a good goal and in order to get there you should probably play against opposition that is on average 1800 (say 1700-1900).

How many games would you need to get there?

1135718001-0 29,7
2138718001-0 29,3
3141618001-0 28,8
4144518001-0 28,3
5147318001-0 27,8
6150118001-0 27,1
7152818001-0 26,5
8155518001-0 25,7
9158018001-0 25,0
10160518001-0 24,1
11162918001-0 23,3
12165318001-0 22,4
13167518001-0 21,5
14169718001-0 20,6
15171718001-0 19,7
16173718001-0 18,9
17175618001-0 18,0
18177418001-0 17,2
19179118001-0 16,4
1807

[ game number, your r, opp r, score and rating change ]

If my calculations are correct you'd need only 19 games (btw, you'd need only 15 wins against 2200-players or 30 against opposition of 1600).

The problem here is that in order to win 19 games in the row your playing strenght should be around 2300. More realistic is that you've turned into a 1800-player over night and your estimated to score 50% against someone of your own stregth. Then getting your rating to 1800 would require in fact 62 games.

Still, I'd aim first a bit lower, say 1600 and to get there play games against people who are on average at that level.

Good luck,

^I think the calculations are wrong --

+16 pts for a 1791 beating a 1800 (+9 pts only!) seems a little out.
