I did post this in another thread..which seems to have been removed now.

While I think it might be possible (but pretty time consuming) to do 100+ games at 2000 level...take the example of 87 moves a day, normal OTB games you will make about 35-50ish moves in 90+ mins so 87 correspondence moves a day you are probably looking at at least 3 hours day after d ...[text shortened]... r good player is around 40-50, although there will be real players who are an execption to this.
If I play too many after a while I just start rushing to finish them, play the first move that comes into my head and throw another game away.

I think it is important to focus on quality rather than quantity.

I'll play around with those notes... thanks for that.

Greasemonkey is a Firefox extension that allows you to use/write javascript extensions that enhance the functionality of certain pages. Ourosboros (sp?) has written many that enhance RHP including giving you a sitewide notebook only available on that one computer.

I tend to play lots of games with longish time controls (most of them are 7/7 or longer). I also like sprints, which are easier to play when the majority of your other games aren't needing moves right away. I generally move quickly in all of my games regardless of time control, but that really depends on the position and how much time I have. I don't move in every game every day either, which helps keep burnout low.
I don't understand how it's possible for you to play 400+ simultaneous games, and manage to keep a 1700+ rating peaking as high as 1900+. Seriously, how do you do it? How do you even play 400+ games at one time.

Can't. I lose most of them when I do that as I make elementary blunders.

No, I mean Galaxyshield. 412 games in progress - he's insane.

I know you mean him, just saying that I can't do it - I'm obviously not good enough.

Couldn't even do it with an engine unless I could write an interface that monitored RHP found when my opponent had moved, downloaded the pgn, calculated and moved and I didn't need to be involved. It would take a little time to do this, lets say 2 minutes a move and if we play with 3/?? time limits it could perhaps manage 2160 games.

Would there be any point in that, probably not and someone might just get suspicious after a while that I played such perfect chess 24 hours a day every day.

I don't know hoe Galaxyshield does it. I played him 2 games and he played reasonably well although in the end I won them both. 16 year olds are at a crazy stage in their life but he would get much better if he cut the load down.

It's been done before, and somebody did get suspicious.

How strange was that. I particularly loved the horizontal Knight move in that one game. Was it ever actually proven that it was automated computer use as it doesn't seem the player was particularly strong?

That was before the creation of the game mods. The player disappeared without a word right after that thread was created.

I also just noticed he still has his star despite:
Last moved 789 days 8 hours and 17 minutes ago

But if you look at his first post ever on the site:

Any ideas?

No, it was against the TOS, but it was buried deep in the verbage. Flexmore was suggesting RHP allow it, the majority of the RHP community disagreed.
