i'd say more but that would be commenting on a game in progress...
suffice to say you both missed a tactical option which i saw very quickly.
considering the insults bandied about earlier i'm not impressed.

I guess we'll have to wait until the game is over and then i will share my analysis.
Originally posted by aginis"The advantage is slight but should be decisive.." makes literally no sense. Not to mention the "tactical theme" that you found is normally almost always equal or much better for black, and in this case Blcak is absolutely fine.

Originally posted by aginisI don't think either side could have improved THAT much from the actual text moves.

Because I'm sort of out of book.
Game 3343363
That's what I was hinting at earlier.
Someone should have been brave & gone out of book early. Then it's a chess game. A move that doesn't seriously weaken a position but takes it away from the DB before move 20 or so shouldn't be fatal considering both player's ratings are well below 2000.
This game is more a case of OoOoOoh! My database is bigger 'n yours!
Originally posted by SquelchbelchThats a bad idea, in such a dynamic opening if you go out of book against a competent player, which i think both players here are, the opponent should be able to look at the position, think "why hasnt that been played in my database" and try and work out how to exploit it (if possible). Its what i always try to do against a good opponent who goes out of my database, and even i can often exploit. Im not saying it would be fatal but definately not the best idea to hope that you dont play a move that can be exploited. Hope chess isnt a clever idea, especially in this grudge match.
