Since this is a cc site he is not 'running away' he is playing him on the site that they both play and I assume fell out on.
Secondly although I am no longer a subscriber (after 3 years of being one) I was a subscriber both here and on gameknot, the reason I subscribed on gameknot was because RHP did not have a vacation system. When playing in tournaments on Gameknot I would use the vacation system but still move (although on there your opponent can cancel your postponement if you move, but you still have until their response to that actual move before your postponement is cancelled), because for example when I was on holiday in Turkey I wanted to spend most of the time sight seeing with my gf not sitting in an internet cafe, however if it rained early in the morning I would on occassion go down to the internet cafe and make the odd move. There is nothing sinister I believe in doing that.

As I said above what's wrong with moving (albeit infrequently) if I am on holiday I want to be out exploring with my gf not sat in some internet cafe playing chess. However for one reason or another ie a spell of bad weather, gf wants to do some shopping or having a lie in etc. it might suit me to spend an hour or so making the odd move out of all my games.
