I got master title in 198...years when engines are in fantasy movies.

if you follow the thread you would figure that he got banned for cheating and thus removed from the site...

500 rating imposed to ensure all wins awarded to his opponents won´t boost their performance beyond reason...

OK.. I checked through the player tables and thought.. eh. what's going on. Kinda gutted though in a strange way. I was in AWE.

Gotta be honest. Of all the thrashings I've taken. That IM didn't feel like an engine.

Oh well, shows what I know.

lol.. Glad to see you're living up to your nickname Ravello (but very nicely put). Yup, afraid work and life interupts chess far too often and prevents me living totally for chess on RHP (although the temptation is ermm... huge (-; )
Chess here has gotta be about the fun. A chess engine for this just seems to be a bit daft... whats the fun in simply putting the move into a comp and seeing what it says while drinking your coffee (actually Ovaltine at the mo). Sorry stating the obvious, preaching to the converted, etc. I was just a bit gutted the legend was outed. Bit like Ben Johnson in the 100m.

Coconut - when I am on site I'm too busy figuring out how to recover from poor chess moves to read the forum which mostly has little that I can comprehend for my humble rating. I just happened to flick between rankings screens and saw the top player disappear off it and reappear at the bottom - so I posted straight away onto a thread entitled Ironman.

Sure I soon saw the reasons put forth by others buried elsewhere - only hearsay though. I have not seen any official explanation. Is there a bulletin board for such widely-affecting announcements? I guess not.😳
