Originally posted by Paul Leggett I can't speculate about player A vs player B, but Kings and Pawns is by far the best player I have played on the site so far.
He plays logical, simple, natural moves, and beats me like an old rug. I am in awe of his play.
I was following a game of his and my friend torten, a French defence, i was like you,
totally awed by the sheer clarity of the play, it seemed natural and without affectation. I
wish i could discuss more of that game.

Who is "Hes"? Wow, looks like my thread was right on! You see he went up 4 points at a time when Skeet does 1. Because he is playing people closer to his rating.
Of course the ugly head of box use will no doubt be being raised, eh.

Kings and Pawns reminds me a lot of the Top Dog on the now defunct Pacific Mall chess site. There were two very strong players there and one of the was an American in his seventies. I think his name was Bruce. He refused to play me anymore after I went for a one move cheapo rather than resign when I was a piece down against him. He didn't fall for the cheapo but was insulted that I would even try it.
I expect to see Kings and Pawns take the number 1 spot soon. He has yet to lose a game, and plays beautifully. He has destroyed several other 2300+ players with ease (kingaroo and he appears to be beating Bob Wade easily); he also dominates 2200+ opponents with finesse. He is playing very strong players-besides his tournament games, Kings and Pawns plays basically 2000+ opponents only. I will continue to watch his games with interest!
