could you show me some games where you won with the kings indian as black? i feel its drawish for me. especially when white exchanges the d pawn for the e pawn.

Too many KID threads, play the Modern Benoni - it won't be drawish.

drawish? We aren't masters that draw games lol. Anyway, I always thought the KID was agressive (...Ne8 followed by ...f5 attacking the center) so draws don't happen much. I dont know though.

by no means a classic but ..

Game 3044745

I would look at the Corus 2007 games for some great examples of black winning with the KID

try dutch defence-specifically leningrad lines-those are supposedly (as I have read) a KID with a tempo up (don't have to move knight out of way to push f5). That being said, I've never played KID so I wouldn't know, I just know the leningrad seems to be anything but drawish to me.

the game helped me with some concepts. white has a huge advantage in that opening and should be able to take advantage of it. either way it is a good example that helped me thanks idoms.

Fair enough .. but it really was just the first one i could find .. RHP hardly has a great game search facility! (maybe when gamesexplorer gets more populated)

There are some others in this thread
Thread 63797
They are blitz but they are played against opponents around 1900-2100

Indeed. I got too greedy and grabbed an easy pawn which meant i had to play extremely carefully for the rest of the game.

either way it is a good example that helped me thanks idoms.

no problem .. definitely not a good example though .. but it does show some of the resources black has at his disposal .. even if the game turns against you.

although those games are against 1500 players it shows me how i can encounter the opening which is what i was wonderin most about. i can get the middle game play alright i know i'm looking for f5 push. if white stops your f5 push could i see some games where white was denied f5? and had to play on the queenside? thanks.

What's wrong with 1500 players? 😉

Nothing. They make tasty snacks though.
