There was a short discussion at http://michael-boyd.net/forum about the knight on f3 (or f6). Is it the best defender of the king? Is it worth it to keep the piece there all game defending instead of using it elsewhere to attack?

Can you ever make such a general statement and expect it to help in chess??

The knight should move when it's to your advantage...ditto with the pawns in front of the castled position.

I do find it quite wierd that he has no games in progress and no moves made and never played a game on RHP at least under the nickname ThudanBlunder
