So...you've dropped your opponent a please-to-move reminder e-mail or 3. When is the "proper" time to claim the win? TIA.
I haven't had an opponent time out in a while, but I assume you still have to click through that little "are you sure you wanna do that?" screen. To me the way this is worded makes it seem as though this screen's intent is to guilt players into giving their opponents extra time, carrying with it the implication that it would be bad manners to claim a rightful win. Perhaps this is why the etiquitte question keeps popping up. Just as, in an OTB tourney, a TD would be stepping out of his/her place to suggest a player reconsider claiming a win on time (or any other rule for that matter) I believe it's wrong for the site administration to take, or even seem to take, any postion on the correctness of claiming a win that is within the rules. IMHO the screen should be either be gotten rid of or the language in it neutralized.

But I lie a little.
When the opponent has an vacation and clearly stated when he will get back and not continue to play during his vacation I consider not taking the skull.
Also when he in a personal message explains the situation I consider not to skull him.
