where are thou? I used to enjoy following the games of Miss Angela, she struck me as quite an original player and would often grace the forums to point out some interesting aspect of a particular game, and all the while she had gathered a teenage fan club, mostly of salivating single and impressionable chess geeks, it shall be a pity if she has left the site and sailed away like the owl and the pussy cat on a beautiful pea green boat, or ermmm something like that.
She made some strange forum calls also...remember the one, 'Please forgive me, you know who you are...you won;t see this flying in a plane, I miss you blah blah blah.' SWEET I thought 😉
Don;t tell me folk fell for the ever changing fotos of a pretty 'herself', delicately filtered affairs with lots of 'teddy bears' 😉
Myself, I warned and warned you, took one game but I hung on for over a week for that next game move Ms. Angela...the system timed you, not me !! 😛

I can say that 'she' was in conflict with many here, lots of the 'lofties' didn't take kindly to her...often citing such beauties as 'what an idiot you are' and 'the game is over, resign'...there was a lot of sensible analysis but too much dismissal of folk that couldn't grasp the where withall. My first encounter was fruitful, in fastmovers, but it sullied quickly ...so much so that she ignored me for 25 moves and then just threw in another beauty 🙁

Ya, get what you mean, 'Mariska style' as she put it, Korch did alot similar here also with regard to a supposed loss of tempo...I think she weighed the opposition up beforehand, offered up the 'Orangutan,' as you intimate, but she could get into trouble if they knew their onions more than that, she NEVER gave credit only mocking 'what you should have done you didn't, you beat me.... great'

That person writes like a male, linguistically speaking. Females are prone to use passive voice much more when writing, and judging from her forum posts, Mariska Angela almost always used active voice.
