Dear chessfriends - does anyone know something about Marko Krale, one of our most active players here since a long time? He did not move for many weeks.
I hope he is fine...

You might try sending him a private message inquiring as to his welfare.

Rather worrying from such a prolific player. Hopefully taking a wee break.

He is a member of a few clubs. Maybe one of those has a contact.

A few years ago, I played against you in a tournament here. Though I only lasted about 30 moves, I learned some important things. It was an honor for me.

- Thank You. 🙂

Hmm. Not even an option to send a message.

Good idea - I have sent him a message. We have played 32 games - I think a friendly question how he feels is o.k. in this context.

I had sent him a message around 18 hours ago. But I'm glad that someone who has played him at RHP has done so also.

Maybe the Dark Dragons leader may know. I shall check with him.

According to the club leader, he is taking some time off. The club leader plans to give him a nudge later. Thank you for you observing him not playing. As you know long ago, he and I were going for the 1st million move on this site! I was more driven than him! He is a good player. I mentioned Marko Krale to my wife that he and I were the top players on the site. Her comment: He must not have anything to do! What do wives know (fortunately, she does not know how to read these messages from the site!)?

1 million moves - I've just worked out how long it will take me to get there.
At my current rate of activity, it calculates out at around 203 years!
It'll even take me until I'm 82 to reach 100,000(if I live that long)-I'm 70 next week.
Oh well.....

Thanks, Zorro, old friend!
You are a chess detective! :-)

Thanks Zorro,

I know what you mean about a wife not understanding chess.
A few years back after I came home with a few chess books she
wondered why I needed more:

"Surely you know how the pieces move by now."

Same story with me.
So many people have asked me why I need so many books on how to learn to play chess when they are with me and I buy another one.

"Don't you need just one?"

I correct them obviously and I explain that I am an improving player who studies.

Every book shop says this too...
"So you're learning how to play chess?"
I take offense in mock anger and explain to them I have been playing for 20 years and I'm kind of a big deal.

I leave them wondering what famous chess player they just met.
Of course I am a nobody but that makes it all the better because they don't know.
