National Open June 15-18 Las Vegas!

I'm all signed up- anyone else going? Maybe a few of us can meet for drinks and/or casual chess. I'm going to play Susan Polgar simul too.😲

the national open is a fine tournament event to play in. it makes all other us chess tournaments pale by comparison. have played there five times in the last ten years.

I was at the Vegas National Open in 1986 or so, Walter Browne gave a simul against some insane number of boards (like 100)....it was impressive. He came out in a jogging suit, RAN through the players, moving instantly at each position. Dunno what the outcome was, I was anxious to hit the blackjack tables.

Well, I'm off tomorrow morning- wish me luck- playing Susan Polgar in her Simul- anyone else going?

I'm going to Vegas for a tournament!

But it's a Mario Kart DS tournament, not a chess one. lol

Edit- I'll go with DoctorScribbles because of his overwhelming superiority in the Rec department.

Their 1300 RHP ratings don't give etiher much hope for winning that tournament...
