    Big European nations have their nation / city name in chess opening, or at least variant.
    Sicilian, Russian, Italian, French, English, Spanish (other name for Rui Lopez), Austrian attack, Yugoslav attack, Dutch...
    Do Germans have? Opening definitely not. May be a variant at least? Someone knows?

    I know only New York variant in Reti opening and Indian Defences.

    Is there anything else?

    Theres varitions named after German players.......

    Hanstein gambit, in the Kings Gambit Declined.
    Samisch in the Kings Indian
    Samish Varition in the Nimzo Indian defence
    Hubner system in the Nimzo Indian defence
    Schliemann Varition in the Spanish (think he was german)
