One more gone from the Top 5

Aha, I was already wondering how FabianFnas could be on page 1 all of a sudden

Guess I should take this game off the "Best Games of 2009!" list I have posted on my refrigerator.

I have a stupid question: if some of the top players are banned because there are using computers, why are not the others, at the same level, banned too? I don't see how a non computer can seriously compete with a computer assisted person on the long run. Hence, either they are all of them assisted, or none of them.
Second point: supposing that there are players at the same level, with some of them using computers, and some not, how can someone (let's say the mods) distinguish between them? by what kind of miracle, is an external observer capable to make the distinction between them ?

This game is funny: Game 5410371. Assuming that laurentmeric has been banned for engine use, Littlemcniff did very well to hold this one.

Of the top 7 currently, Northern Lad has lost 43. The other six have lost 41 between them.

I don't know what I conclude from this 😲

Well, I do know Northern Lad is a better OTB player than me, probably better all-round too. But he's clearly no good at all compared with the others in the Top 7. Me neither. I can't beat any of them except an inspired win v. Capa Preta once.

hahahahahah.... these are always hilarious. back in the day trains44 went on knight hopping up to 120 moves in a similar N vs B ending.

Then again the unbanned player had a pretty crappy rating way back in 2006/2007 as well 😲🙄

It's aways good to see beginners improve. It warms the cockles of my heart to watch the progress of players on this site.

I bet he's glad he doesn't play horrors like this anymore: Game 3306970 (from March 2007).
