I once beat a German IM on ICC. Forget his name but his handle was JohnJR......
but .....um .....it was in a timeodds tourn and I won on time.

Even so, this guy would win almost all the tourns he entered, so I was quite chuffed:-)

1. Drawing a USCF rated 2126 opponent in an otb match game
2. Drawing IM Viktor Adler in a simul

Paul Motwani (Scottish GM) and I were contemporaries in our school days. No idea what the score is in our games but I do recall beating him in the final round of a tourney just before or just after he became world u16 (think it was u16) champion
