This game is funny: Game 5410371. Assuming that laurentmeric has been banned for engine use, Littlemcniff did very well to hold this one.
I question the move: 4. c4

That seems abit off for a human to play

I'd do the same under any circumstance, hop around and cash that advantage

I remember a similar IM vs. WGM game last year with incremental time control where the WGM eventually succumbed after ten hours (exaggeratedπŸ˜›), it's just exhaustion chess

And on here you can always hope your opponent misses a deadline or is banned by Russ

Aha, I was already wondering how FabianFnas could be on page 1 all of a sudden
Oh, DanVM gave me 27 rating points when he was banned.
I will fall in the near future. I have quite a few games when I'm in under in quality. I won't stay in the page #1 for long.

It's aways good to see beginners improve. It warms the cockles of my heart to watch the progress of players on this site.

I bet he's glad he doesn't play horrors like this anymore: Game 3306970 (from March 2007).
Witness Nigel Short - David Norwood

Current Fide rating list:
Short 2696
Norwood 2503

Perhaps someone should alert FIDE

no doubt you will find out it was played in 1975 *grin*

Is this a joke or is it a genuine Short vs Norwood game?

The game is genuine. My source is Burgess' mammoth book, page 131 in the notes to a Petroff defense trap.
Short was 10 years old,Norwood 6 so it was played in some junior event in 1975.
