Qf3...force black to play Rf8 giving up his castling rights and cramping his position even more than it already is.

black can play bishop f6 unless I am missing something, if Qf3.

Agreed. Qf3 to squeeze the kingside. All other minor pieces for black are boxed in the other side too. I also think black should respond with Bf6.

Rook to f8 can be answered with Qh3, and black will be worse.

What does Qh3 threaten?

1. Qf3 Bf6 2. Bxg5 Rf8 3 Bh6 seems kind of ugly for black for me. Black will be forced to move the rook anyways (giving up castling rights), and will give up a tempo allowing white to develop another piece (the bishop).

On second look,

I'm thinking if

1. Qf3 Bf6 2. Bxg5 o-o is best for black.

If.
1. Qf3 Rf8 2. Qh3 and follows with Bd3, black would be facing a dangerous attack on the g6 pawn.

If Bxg5.... 0-0 is the only answer...Agree

Qf3 seems alright... Bf6 Bxg5 0-0 is fairly equal on attacking front (although Black is squeezed)...

I kind of like h4, developing the attack on the kingside and with the queenside for Black being strangled...

I'm not sure that's very ugly. 3. ... Bg7! White must lose a tempo now. So instead 3. Bh6, I'd play 3. Qg4 with the idea of 4. Bd3 5. Bh6 which would open 6. Bxg6+. These are the ideas that I would consider.

EDIT: Why not 1. Qg4 instantly? 1. ... 0-0 2. Bd3. Black is in a pretty bad situation I think.
