someone set up an account in the name of jestrada and resurrected 5 very old threads about a fictitious game called Stanley Random Chess.

There is even a website that seems to be dedicated to the whole joke.

People keep posting in here like it is real. I don't know if they are having me on or if they are just dense.

Yes,SRC is obviously a hoax.Someone put some real effort in it though,gotta give 'em that.I just didn't see the date of the first post,thought the SRC nuts had hijacked the thread.

Anyway,I stick to my claim the Bird is underrated,even though I'm 2 years late 😀

Stanley Random Chess is not a real game.

But, I'm curious, does SCHEMINGMIND have people playing a "game" against a computer (or with the help of a computer) that they think is real?

I've never played the game and I never will. But, I believe that what happens is that after 2 or 3 moves the computer starts making random and non-sensical moves for you. So, in essence, the computer is controlling all of the action and you think you are trying to learn a real game.

The game doesn't exist. It is not real.
