I'm sure that Russ will be sure to ban multiple PAYING members that other people haven't had a problem with; at the request of a NON-PAYING member of the site. You are here due to the generosity of Russ and the SUBSCRIBING players of the site.

Go play some chess and stop causing problems. Maybe you would post less if you had more than 6 concurrent games.....

Oh, that makes a lot of sense, all paying members have rights to send me threatening PM's because I haven't paid anything, whatever, read the rules of this site, they STILL don't have a right to break my basic human rights as a human being. I have every right be free of harassment whether I pay or not. What you are suggesting is ppl have a right to pay their way above the law because they have money I do not, sorry pal, it doesn't work that way. . .

I didn't say any such thing.....I was referring more to your threat to "Run and tell on you to Mommy", because you got a couple of pm's you didn't care for.

And unfortunately, money does get you above the law in many cases....that wasn't my point, but it's true, always has been, probably always will be......Of course the TOS of the site isn't a LAW, it's subject to the will of Russ. Russ is the King of the Site, his word is the only law on RHP...

I'm done with this thread.....

If you don't see what is wrong with saying that people "likely cheat" without a shred of evidence to support that statement, then you don't suck at chess, but you do suck at being a human being.

Look at the issue this way:

There are two really awesome players. Both are dominant on RHP. They almost certainly got that way by being highly competitive and intelligent. Both know that you can use computers on RHP and no one will catch you.

Who is the champion? The one who uses computer assistance. He's more ruthless and does what it takes to win. What if he doesn't? Then some third guy comes in who's almost as good and takes over because he uses computer assistance.

My experience with online games and highly skilled competitors is that they do what it takes to be on top. When their competition starts to cheat, they countercheat if the "cops" don't bust the competition for it.

You missed the word "some", and I'm not accusing anyone, no names were named. And I didn't say they ALL cheat, jesus .. .

I drink Scotch, not Whiskey.

Cheers!

Look at it this way:

You people are accusing people of wrongdoing, you have absolutely no evidence that they have committed any wrongdoing except that they "must" have 'cuz they're really, really good. If this wasn't an silly little internet chess site you'd either get A) Sued for defamation or B) Punched in the mouth. And since you are so ignorant that you continue to make such accusations without any proof, you would richly deserve either or both. My experience is that the vast majority of people aren't cheaters and don't like idiots accusing them of cheating. Perhaps you should learn from that experience because I really think people on this site are getting pretty sick of these types of threads that besmirch the reputations of pretty much every player on the site who's worked his a** off to be a really good player. Why don't you guy try working your a**** off and becoming good players before you run this BS.

*"You people are accusing people of wrongdoing"

I am not accusing anyone of wrongdoing. I am simply saying I'd be surprised if they weren't based on past experiences. Since I have no evidence I am not accusing anyone of anything.

*"If this wasn't an silly little internet chess site you'd either get A) Sued for defamation or B) Punched in the mouth."

No more so than when someone says every government official plays favorites or is corrupt. Note that I am not saying that, but other people definitely do.

Actually, I did say the champion uses computer assistance. I didn't mean to accuse the top player on this site of that, and I apologize for saying that. I was trying to give a hypothetical example showing why it makes sense that he might, but I have no idea if he really does. Kasparov would be the best player here without computer assistance I am sure, and others could too.

Those who know right from wrong and have no problem realizing that they are human and won't ever be the world champion won't cheat with computers.

Others cheat just to get their rating up, because their chess ...[text shortened]... hetic.

I like to believe that most of us would rather lose honestly than win dishonestly.

Er ... I take it that paying customers would be covered by basic consumer protection laws? 😉
