This is probably my best game so far, it's very positional but beautiful nevertheless. My best positional game and my best endgame in one!
    very interesting game.
22.Bd3 is a critical error by white. the bishop is much better placed at e2 where it protects two weak pawns without getting in the way. and it has easy access to d1 which is its only way out (via a4). instead 22.c5 is necessary to weaken blacks queenside and open the bishop.

i think 26.Rb5 is stronger trying to double up on the b file

    37.Ba4 might have achieved a draw 37...Rxa5 38.Bxd7 Rxa2 39.Rxa2 Rxa2 40.Qxa2 Bxd7 41.Nb2 looks drawish

    55.Rxb1? also passes up a draw. 55.Kf2 Rxa1 56.Rxa1 Rb1? 57.Rxb1 Qxb1 58.Qb2 =

    for example:-

-- And black goes into the endgame 2 pawns up, and white has nothing to show for it.
    hold on whats wrong with 28...Rg6 29.Rf4 Qh1 30.h3 Qg1+? 31.Kh4 Bf2+ 32.Kh5 and black has nothing.

i think black had a good chance with 35...Rxe6

hahaha, sorry I find this quite funny.

I checked your line through crafty(hey! I'm lazy), to see if it could find any improvents.

well, it prefered Rxf2 (after Bf2+)

at the end of your line given, crafty scores it -13. 00

Edit:- no it doesn't, its found a mate.

    the Line:-

    32. ... Rh6+ 33. Kg5 Bh4+ 34. Kf5 Qb1+ 35. Re4 Qf1+ 36. Rf4 Rf6+ 37. Ke4 Rxf4+ 38. Ke3 Rf3+ 39. Kd4 Bf6+ 40. Ke4 Qe2+ 41. Qe3 Qxe3#

It is a long mate sequence, almost as if it was composed.

I wouldnt call these games "brilliant" but they are certainly three of my best wins at this site.

The first is the furthest out I have ever seen mate. When my opponent castled I saw the potential to start the mating chain.

The second is the fastest I have ever mated an opponent within my rating range. He had beaten me twice in a row before this one so it felt great to beat him in style.

The third is just a game where I felt I played very well and put myself in a mating position and my opponent missed it.

Because I like the opening trap..
For those that can't see if:
    5 Bxe5, Qa5+
    6 Nc3, Qxe5
    and if 4. Qxd4?

Also, I don't post these games for your benefit. I've had pms from many players commenting on some of my games I've posted and asking questions. I think the second game is instructive in forcing trade downs whilst material up and also in end game play.
Some people just like to be smart-arses I guess. Nothing wrong with constructive debate though😉
Just keep sticking the games up, mate.
I for one find them very useful indeed.
