Don't trust this person.

He/ she expects an opponent to respect the vacation flag, then ignores it himself to claim two games (my only two as I knew I would be out of touch for two weeks) despite the flag being up with a return date and despite my sending him a message.

He has set the vacation flag and a tournament was starting and he was not aware of it until he was back and saw that during this period of absence he was timed out?
Is this what we are talking about?

He has every right to be whining about this.
Unfortunatly it is possible whithin the rules of RHP to do this. But it is not honorable. It is surely a weak spot of RHP.

I've said it before - the vacation routines ar not the best. I would like to freeze the clocks during vacation.

It's not whinging. I did not take the skulls but he did; one game was clearly a loss for him and he took it through deception. Worthy of comment, I felt.

If it's a tournament game, you don't even have a choice, it will time out automatically. I looked at the game in question, and it was a tournament game.

Yes. The skull appears when the timebank is empty. The auto-timeout happens two days later or so.
