But seriously, there's no magic shortcut. You just have to learn chess along with the rest of us. If it's any consolation to you, learning chess can be fun.

chess isn't that easy to pick up a strategy you must first learn the opening. and then the middle game that goes along with it. if you dont know the plans of the middle game from your opening then your not going to do so well. look up the variations in which you play and watch how the gm's play and watch how they move their pieces in the middle game and watch for any pawn breaks in which they use.
