In this game I moved my queen, then decided the knight was too strong so moved the queen back and clicked on the bishop then the knight and hit move. All very rapidly of course. You can imagine my surprize when the program moved my queen to take the knight! GASP!

Cost me 30 points

Game 1225545
I gave my queen away early in this game, so I kinda felt bad winning.

Game 1038717

This was months ago, but it still rankles with me that I fell for a trick that obvious. I felt a bit like the new lad who gets sent to the hardware shop for a long stand and a mesh oil can.

Game 1131534

I don't believe I've ever lasted that short. 😞

Game 1101311

I made move 35 very late at night, when I was extremely tired. What a shock I got the next day... I should have learned from that, but I had to make several more bad blunders late at night until the message sunk in... And I'll probably do it again... Oh, BTW, I found it kind of amusing that this was a clan game against "A big mistake". 😉

After move 60 in this game I decided not to play drunk on RHP anymore(I satiate my need for drunken chess on uchess now).

Game 480771

With a pretty forced endgame, I figured I could get a draw out of it at about move 51. I knew I had to play 60. Kf4, but my drunken self decided that 60. Kf5 was just the same without a seconds thought.. 😞

I find this one to be strangely similar. I was completely winning, and managed to pull off a loss.

25... f4 would have been crushing, I think.

Somehow I find it hard to believe that a ~1500 CC player is an unbeatable menace striking fear into all players on the streets of London.

Play stronger opposition if you win all the time.

I don't know. 25... f4 26. Kf3 and there's no harm done. My pawn structure's a bit off, and I don't think I've gained anything. I think I played that stage of the game very well to convert the winning advantage. It was just the endgame in which I was too sure of myself, and forgot to look at the obvious.

Fancy playing a set piece game as at move 25. Nd4, with me playing black and 25...f4+?

I reckon it could lead to some interesting attacks. I may be completely wrong, but hey... 🙂

Yes, it certainly is interesting, but I think Qb6 is better. I wouldn't mind playing a set piece from that position, but bear in mind that white's already down a pawn and in an inferior position, so your winning chances are already high, regardless of the move played. But then again, my winning chances were pretty high, and that didn't seem to stop me.

Its not about winning and loosing, I just think I've seen some nice lines and think it would be interesting to see how they developed. If you're curious, I'll send over the set-piece, if not, no worries.

Here's mine:Game 604572. A pawn up in a Rook endgame, I decided it would be a great idea to offer an exchange of Rooks (King endings a pawn up are normally easy wins). It slipped my mind that after he took my Rook, my King would be outside the square of his passed pawn and would immediately Queen. I wish i had the "Wild Turkey factor" excuse for this one, but it was old-fashioned chess blindness unaided by external factors.
