Look at this position after Black's 11...a6 move. Black is quite weak on the Q-side. How can I take advantage of these weaknesses? If 12.Qa4+ the Black bishop just retreats. Neither does 12.Qb3 win anything, but I find a nice move with 12.Nxe5!

Well, he may of been if he wanted to lose!!! Actually, I have anecdote with this exact position. I was playing in my very first tournament. My opponent, at that time, was someone I "bugged" at school and at our chessclub because I had beaten him for the school championship 2 years straight and had never lost to him at the club. I was smug, because I was already considered one of the best players at the club after only a few years of learning how to play chess. As they say, I was an upincomer! Anyway, my opponent played this opening and I smirked saying in my head "what a begginner; he pins without understanding the principles of chess." So, I thought not a split second and played the "amazing" move Bxf7+ Kxf7 Ng5+ and started congratulating myself on my win and prepared for my next "real" opponent. Only one problem : My opponent played after 5 minutes thought the "incomprehensible" Qxg5!! and I totally flipped. I was lost, depited, unconsolable. I had lost against someone who I crushed everytime we played at the club and now, a serious tournament game, and he beats me!!! Actually, I fought on and almost won the game in the end after a comedy of errors. There is not the point. I had 3 hours before the next game, I went alont to eat lunch. My fellow club members came over to my table, cheered me up and gave me a huge lesson on humility that day. Me and my foe became great friends, and I understood that I wasn't as indestructable as I thought. I continued the tournament in a cool, calm, composed manner and won all my remaining games to finish tied for 2nd at my very first tournament!!! I later that year left for Italy, had a life-changing experience, changed my way of life, and came back to win my second tournament against some very decent players. (for our level of play at the time) I won much more than rating points, and cash! 😀, that summer : I learned a valuable lesson in life and gained a great friend who still is at this point my very best friend. Thanks for the "lost" Kaissa!😉 To conclude the anecdote, I now play with the experts and masters and my friend...still hoping to beat me since that game 10 years ago.😏
P.s; Actually the comparaison is unfair I played alot of championships and tournaments while he now only plays for the fun.

This should be interesting. Clearly I have the advantage. However, its going to be fun trying to mate the black king without being hassled by blacks knight and and keeping myself out of forks by black's rook.

Here's a position from a game I played on another site (I wish I could post the whole game, it was a good one). Here my knight made a nice suicidal journey 😀
From here it went 25. Nf4 Rbb7 26. Nxg6 c3 27. Ne7+ Rbxe7 28. g6 cxb2+ 29. Kb1 Rg7 30. Qxg7+ Rxg7 31. gxh7+ Kh8 32. Rxg7 1-0
And before you comment on it, I know that 30. gxh7+ was objectively better, leading to forced mate rather than a just a won endgame, but how often do you get to sac the queen 😛?

I just finished this game, and I must say... I quite enjoyed this one.
I took a gamble on the eighth move hanging the E pawn, hoping black would take with his bishop, leaving me free to check the king with Bf1a5 and winning the black queen. Not to be though. My opponent, more clever than I anticipated either was lucky or saw it coming and took with the pawn. I'll give him the credit of seeing it for he was taking quite some time to move. Nervous on move 10 when black cleverly plays Nf6g4. After finally finding away to get out of it(Qe3d4) anticipating a queen exchange and still protecting Na7, black surprises me again. But quickly kills his chances by playing Ra8xa7, leaving the back rank, and worst of all(for him), leaving himself wide open for checkmate. Black could have saved himself playing f7 to f6 continuing the game less his queen, but blunders on the 13th move with Qd8d4. 14)Rc1c8+, black resigns.
