I know, I've been advertising them everywhere.
He appears to have the knack for explaining things clearly.
It's not a skill everyone has, some of the other youtube efforts I've
seen are really terrible.
When I get around to doing one I will of course fart arse about
and be choosing games with blunders, howlers, cheapo's and lemons.
Proper Chess.
Originally posted by greenpawn34yes that's a corker! some great stuff. Where's our old friend Streetfighter? Is he not playing in this tournament? It's from his book Streetfighting chess that i first heard about Motwani who is obviously an attacking genius!
Hi, Yes it's Keith Ruxton my fellow author of Rampant Chess
He too is an RHP member so a quick plug is allowed.

Edit: forgot to mention. I give same ga ...[text shortened]... er because
I did not know Keith was going to do this game. He left just as
before I appeared.
I wonder if Motwani has any plans to annotate and publish a book of his best games. I'd certainly be first in the queue for a copy.
Latest report on Scottish.
Two cracking games on here.

Also link to Keith commentry on Rownson/McNab.
Excellent stuff, very instructive insights packed into a few minutes.
Saw Streetfighter yesterday, he's not been too well lately and felt
he might not have the stamina for a whole series of tough games.
Originally posted by greenpawn31Thanks, Keith! Enjoying it all.
Hi RHP-ers,
Glad to know you are enjoying the commentary. There has been a number of spectacular games this week, unfortunately I can only analyse the ones I can at least partly understand!
Keep watching,
Keith Ruxton (Geoff's partner in crime)
Streetcleaner - excellent - I'll tell him later on today.
One lad in the -1500 section was caught sneaking into the analysis room
to look and anlyse an ending he was actually playing - he was caught
and his opponent was awarded the game.
It would have been good if he denied it because I was taking a picture
of someone else and in the background you can clearly see him and
the game position.
Not going to name & shame on the Corner - might lose him to
chess forever but he may be getting a ban.
It's a Ferrari and it's part of the best game prize.

Apache Jack once gave away a Van Goch for a brilliancy prize at the
Llyods Bank tournament in 1994.
It was won by Mark Hebden for his game against our own Fat Lady.
I'm sure he will post the game.
Originally posted by greenpawn34Here it is. I was on 9/9 at the time and was Black against Hebden in the last round.
I'm sure he will post the game.
At this point Hebden, in obvious distress, starting emanating a strange shrilling sound from his nose. The elderly tournament controller, thinking the noise was my mobile phone, promptly awarded the game to my astonished opponent. I can only assume that they gave Hebden the best game prize for winning from a completely lost position.
Rather annoyingly this allowed a young wippersnapper called Morozevich to overtake me to win the tournament on 9.5/10 and I've never been invited to an international tournament since.
