I have dreaded playing against this line as White, but discovered that Black will obtain the better position if White trys to avoid the main line once he/she has reached the critical position.

Therefore I was forced to study this line, and now I would like to share the variations with you if there are enough people interested. Please post if you are interested in seeing some analysis of this line.

Why would you fear that opening? Seems to me that opening is no more dangerous than the player that is playing it.

Maybe he dreads it because many players know it very well if they are going to play it. The study required may have put him off.
I'm interesting in having a look, despite being a firm d4 player as white and a Sicilian Dragon player as black.

6 players so far. Hmmm...I have to confide something to all of my friends here. I signed a contract with USCF that they had first rights to all my chess articles for publication. Well, actually all that means is that if I give one of my writings to another place, such as RHP, that Chess Life doesn't have to pay me, OR maybe won't publish it...

So here's the deal. If I see 30 people here at RHP who are interested in this article then I'll write it, and waive any pay I would've received from publication.

RHP has become my favorite chess site and I want to support it. I would like to see a little push though... so if you want to see this opening publication (and possibly more) then I suggest you get your friends to post in here. :-)

Cheers,
Arrakis

Has someone who just played my first Poisoned Pawn on this site against you, screwed up and was badly beaten, I'd appreciate seeing your analysis. However, this is the Chess Forum so either show your analysis or don't; whether 30 people want to see it is immaterial, if you were interested in helping other players you'd just show it. People very often post analysis in this forum that helps other players - I thought that was one of its main purposes. Whether it would help 1 player or 30 I don't understand why you're playing so coy.

I'm interested. Fischer went for it. At least the psychological advantage move by move will interest me for speed games
