    surely you've broken these "rules" at least once.
    let's see, you should protect the king
    several lines of the King's Gambit Accepted result with white having a weak king compensated by a strong attack.
    I never really thought of keeping the f-pawn at home in the opening to be a general rule. I was just scared of opening up the position near my King, which I guess is a rule of sorts.

    Which is usually a tricky but interesting opening, when white follows afterwards with g3 and Bg2.

    the way I heard that father and son story was the dying father imploring the son never to capture the b2 pawn with his queen.🙂🙂
